Muchas Gracias A Boricua Beer!!

Boricua Beer has generously offered to sponsor our Vegas Nights by supplying us with their excellent craft beers, Boricua Beer and Taino Light Beer.

Their Mission:
To build a high quality craft beer product company that benefits our community organizations financially. If we reach our full potential of serving you, Hispanics across all of our communities will benefit. Support our movement...

Their Story:
Hispanics buy hundreds of billions of dollars in consumer products. One of the biggest categories is Beer. This is evidenced by the Beer companies who sponsor Hispanic festivals and concerts to sell more beer and maintain market share. Two of the top three hispanic brands are owned by companies in foreign countries. None of the three companies manufacture in any of the primary Hispanic markets in the U.S. This means that the profit leaves the community from which the money is made.

We are Boricua Beer and Taino Light Beer. This company is owned by Hispanics and brewed within one of the primary Hispanic markets int he country: Florida. We will not take our profits out of the community as do all the other breweries serving hispanics. We are a Craft beer. This is a much higher quality beverage that actually has health benefits when enjoyed responsibly.

Join us in thanking Boricua Beer. for their extremely generous contribution at our fundraiser on February 11th:

Base Camp's Dinner & A Movie w/ The Outreachers Society

This past Friday, the Orlando Outreachers took over Kids Night In, Parents Night Out at Base Camp (a children's cancer foundation). We had the pleasure of watching 17 kids from 6-11PM. We played games, we watched a movie, faces were painted....crafts were created...but most importantly memories were made. We could not have made all of this possible without the generosity of Thomas Ward and Pig Floyds for donating and delivering our food for the kids, as well as, Carly Zubiria for making the most amazing Churro cake!! We also want to thank the volunteers who took time out of their busy lives to make someones else's child a priority!

Last, but never least...thank you Terri Robbins for touching so many lives, ours included! We cannot wait to partner with you again next month!

Mother's Day @ Arnold Palmer Hospital

As you know, Orlando Outreachers has begun to establish an on-going relationship with BASE Camp Children's Cancer Foundation here in Central Florida.  Board members, Brandon Owen and Carmelo Acosta, went out to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children to visit the families (specifically mom) of a child facing the on-going challenges of cancer.

For Mom - we brought out breakfast from Panera, an adult coloring book & colored pencils to enjoy with the little one, and a masseuse so mom could have a moment of relaxation and peace.

Thank you BASE Camp for helping us out with getting us access to do something for these families | Thank you to Arnold Palmer Hospital for all that you do | Thank you to all our Outreachers for all the love and support that keeps this organization growing.

Congratulations to all the award winners - there are truly so many incredible people in this community.

"It was wonderful for my great friends and fellow board members, Carmelo and AJ with Orlando Outreachers, to listen to stories of people of our community being selfless and truly going out of their way to help others! This is what the word "community" is all about.

Thank you to Ed Heiland for his work on the News 13 Everyday Heroes segment, and forMichelle Hibbard for putting on such a wonderful awards luncheon. Also, a big thank you to Scott McCallum and Giselle Llanos of Brighthouse Networks for their support of Orlando Outreachers!

We did not come back with a win for the Everyday Hero Viewers Choice Award- but we were in GREAT company with the other nominees. Quite frankly, everyone nominated is doing great things in the community and everyone deserves to be recognized. Thank you to everyone who voted for me to receive the award. I love all of you so much ❤

It is with your support that Orlando Outreachers will continue to make our community a better place!"
